Microgaming and Net Entertainment (NetEnt) both walked away with an award at the world’s first ever Global Gaming Awards 2014 on September 29th 2014. This event was hosted at the Titian Ballroom, in the Venetian Palazzo Congress Center, Las Vegas. Some of the biggest names from the online and offline gaming industry were in attendance and there were 12 different awards categories.
The independent panel of judges included 50 leading business men and women and companies were nominated based on thier overall achievements from the past 12 months. Let’s take a look at the awards that Microgaming and NetEnt managed to win and we can also take a look at some of the other winners.
NetEnt won the Digital Gaming Innovation of the Year award and in this same category the Runner Up was Williams Interactive. Also shortlisted for this category included Income Access, NextGen Gaming, FSB Technology, Colossus Bet, Coral, Odobo, Core Gaming and Yggdrasil.
Speaking about the win was NetEnt’s President and CEO, Per Eriksson, “NetEnt prides itself on innovation and it’s an honour to be recognized for our work at the Global Gaming Awards.
